Records
OMIMA organizes private information into five types, each with a purpose-built field set. Pick the right type when adding a record — it makes finding it later much faster.
Five Record Types
Credentials
Any service that requires a login — websites, apps, account portals.
Core fields:
- Username / email / phone
- Password
- Service PIN (e.g., bank or carrier service passwords)
- Login URL
- Recovery method (linked email / phone)
- Last password change date
Typical use:
- Bank online banking, payment apps
- Mobile carrier account PINs
- Subscription and membership accounts
Field Masking
All fields marked as sensitive are displayed as ●●●●● by default.
Click to reveal the plaintext. Click again or move focus away to re-mask automatically.
This prevents someone glancing at your screen from seeing a password, without getting in the way of normal use.
Tags and Filtering
Every record can have free-form tags for cross-type organization.
Useful tag patterns:
- By person:
spousechildparent - By importance:
criticalfrequent - By context:
travelmedicalfinance
Search accepts tags directly, and you can filter by record type in the sidebar.
Editing and Deleting
- Tap any record to open its detail view
- Hit Edit to modify any field — saving re-encrypts the full record
- Deleting requires a confirmation step
Deletion is permanent. OMIMA does not have a trash or undo feature. Deleted records cannot be recovered.
